Just after St Petersburg when people think of Pinellas County Florida they think of Clearwater Beach. Clearwater is the most central town in Pinellas County and is also the county seat. I have heard stories about when the county seat was chosen in Clearwater was chosen because they had a building that would work for the courthouse. Pinellas County used to be part of Hillsborough County.

Just like St Petersburg this area is quite densely populated. Many tourists visit this area for the beaches. These speeches are some of the best beaches in the United States, some would even argue some of the best in the world. the primary towns that make up this area are Clearwater and Largo. Combined these towns have a population of over 200,000. Commuting into Tampa from this area is very reasonable and common. The airport is also very accessible from here.
Most of this area saw rapid growth in the 50s, 60s, and 70s so there are a lot of homes from that era. You will find many 3-bedroom block homes with standard height ceilings of 8 feet, sometimes even 7 feet. Of course, Florida and this area are common retirement destinations but that is not the majority of the residents by any means. The beaches of this area are very accessible, but the beach areas are different towns then Clearwater and Largo. I only make this distinction to say that Clearwater Largo do not feel like beach towns.
