No Jobs in Tampa, FL?
Now, Tampa has been getting a lot of attention lately as a hotspot for people looking to escape the craziness of big cities during the pandemic. But let me tell you, there’s something missing in this city, and it’s a big one.
Where are the High Paying Jobs To Support Luxury Condos?
As a realtor, my colleagues and I make videos about what it’s like to live and move to Tampa. And while this city has been growing steadily for a while, I see that we’re missing out on some big-time jobs and employers. Have you seen Austin lately? They’re building massive chip manufacturing plants left and right. Meanwhile, all we’re seeing here in Tampa is luxury condos popping up like mushrooms after a rainstorm. Sure, they look nice, but where are the high-paying jobs to support them?
Tampa Needs To Attract Larger Employers
Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot to love about Tampa. We’ve got beautiful beaches, a vibrant downtown, and some seriously cool attractions like aquariums, amusement parks, and zoos. And let’s not forget our big sports teams – go Bucs! But the fact remains that we need some big employers to come in and bring some high-paying jobs with them.
Tampa…the Next Miami?
Now, some people are trying to make Tampa into the next Miami – one of the top luxury markets in the world. But that’s just not who we are. We’re a city of locals, migrants, and not just retirees. Developers from New York City are building all these fancy condos, but I’m not convinced that’s what we need. We need some jobs that can support our residents and all the amazing infrastructure we have here.
Income to Debt Ratio Might Be High But People Still Love Tampa
So yeah, Tampa has some work to do. But don’t let that deter you from considering this city as your new home. We’ve got so much to offer, from our gorgeous bay and Hillsborough River to our historic districts like Ibor City and St. Pete. And who knows, you’ll be the one to bring those high-paying jobs to our city. If you think I’m wrong, feel free to comment below.
